M. foetida belongs to the family Icacinaceae and it is used for the treatment of cancer disease. It contains many secondary metabolites such as alkaloids, phenols, tannins, flavonoids, amino acids and saponins. Thin layer chromatography has been used for secondary metabolite separation which shows the diversity in plant extracts. This proves that all secondary metabolites having medicinal properties. From GCMS analysis 70 compounds have been found, in which 7 compounds have followed Lipinski rule which has anticancer property verified through in silico analysis. Keywords:TLC, Secondary metabolites, Phenolic compounds, GCMS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry), Mappia foetida, Docking analysis.
