Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD), disease that affects the heart and vessels, includes raised blood pressure, coronary cardiovascular disease (CHD), heart failure. Objectives: This narrative review was aimed to discuss the diagnostic and management approaches to cardiac diseases, and the ability to prevent it in primary healthcare setting. Methodology: literature search through most important electronic medical databases for all studies published up to Nov, 2019, discussing the preventive measures taking in primary healthcare. Conclusion: Huge number of CVD patients as noncontagious chronic diseases are treated in primary health center. Primary healthcare provider have very important role in cardiovascular risk management. Considering that in our country preventive programs are not at acceptable level, more comprehensive guidelines should be implemented through healthcare setting to increase the preventive levels of cardiovascular diseases. Number of CVD patients in primary healthcare increases the importance of healthcare teams to decrease the mortality and comorbidities in future.
