ABSTRACT:

Introduction: Cholecystectomy is one of the most commonly performed abdominal surgical procedures that are performed laparoscopically. Laparoscopic techniques are rapidly evolving and trends towards a more minimally invasive approach have led to the introduction of single incision. Laparoscopic single-site cholecystectomy has increased in popularity due to its potential cosmetic benefits and faster recovery. It is predicted that this technique may become a standard approach to cholecystectomy in near future.
