Objective: To know the azithromycin efficacy in the typhoid fever treatment in children. Study design: A descriptive case series. Place and Duration: In the Pediatric Department of Jinnah Hospital, Lahore for one year duration from January 20118 to January 2019. Methods: A total of 110 patients included in the study were included in the inclusion / exclusion criteria. Results: In this study, the most mean age was 8.78 ± 3.87 years and 68 (61.82%) male and 42 (38.18%) female patient. In children with fever efficacy was recorded in and 96 (87.27%)of cases, and only 15 (13.03%) cases could not be managed properly. The results of the analysis proves that azithromycin is a effective and safe drug in the typhoid fever treatment in children. Conclusion: The outcomes of the analysis shows that azithromycin is a effective and safe drug in the management of typhoid fever in children. Key words: Typhoid, azithromycin, child.
