ABSTRACT:

Objective: The aim of this research work is to find out the relationship serologic status of the infection of Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori) with the presence of unstable angina (UA). Methodology: This is an eloquent case-control research work carried out in Allied Hospital Faisalabad. The duration of this research work was from June 2017 to June 2018. The measurement of the levels of serum HP- IgG carried out in the hospital. We drew samples of blood in the duration of this research study from ninety-six patients with an average age of fifty-six years suffering from UA in accordance with the standard of AHA (American Heart Association) & we also collected the samples of blood from ninety-six persons without any heart complication having an average age of fifty-eight years and we stored all these samples at a temperature of 20°C. We studied the results of serology in relation to unstable angina. With the utilization of the Chi square test, calculation of the OR (Odds Ratios) and 95.0% CI (Confidence Intervals) carried out, adjusting for sex, age and recognized factors of risks. Results: Total 82.30% (n: 79) patients suffering from UA & 61.10% (n: 55) participants in the group of healthy controls appeared as anti-HP-IgG positive. The OR was three with 95.0% confidence interval: 1.90 to 4.30. We found a significant association between the sero-positivity of infection of H. pylori and presence of UA. There was no important disparity in gender and age of the participants of both patients and controls groups. Conclusion: The findings of this study discovered association between occurrences of the infection of H. pylori with the presence of UA. Key Words: H. Pylori, Unstable Angina, Association, Sero-Positivity, Temperature.
