FORENSIC EXAMINATIONS IN CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS: PROBLEMS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT

The article analyzes the procedure for the appointment and production of forensic examination in the course of the investigation of criminal cases and their consideration in court. Procedural violations committed by officials of the preliminary investigation bodies when appointing forensic examinations, the low level of their production by forensic experts, the contradictory conclusions of experts, are often grounds for the appointment of additional and repeated examinations in a criminal case. The rationale for the relevance of the study of this problem on the basis of the analysis of existing legal acts. The features of the implementation of the rules governing the institution of purpose and examination in criminal proceedings with examples of investigative and judicial practice are indicated.
