ABSTRACT:

The causes of thyroid dysfunction are varied. These can lead directly to the pathology of the thyroid gland itself, as well as diseases of the pituitary and hypothalamus. In other cases, a violation of the synthesis of thyroid hormones causes a deficiency of microelements, which in the composition of thyroid hormones or affect their transformation, for example, iodine or selenium. But there are other trace elements that are involved in the metabolism of thyroid hormones, which participation is less studied. The review is dedicated to this microelements.
