Abstract :
Mimosa pudica, commonly known as the sensitive plant, is recognized not only for its unique mechanical responses but also for its rich phytochemical profile and diverse pharmacological activities.
This plant contains various bioactive compounds, including alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins, each contributing to its therapeutic properties.
Report indicated that Mimosa pudica exhibits anti-inflammatory, wound healing activity, antimicrobial, antiulcer, antifertility, antidiuretic and potential antidiabetic effects, supporting its traditional medicinal uses.
Mimosa pudica represents a promising source of natural compounds with diverse pharmacological activities, warranting further investigation to unlock its full therapeutic potential in modern medicine.
