Abstract :

Herbal cosmetics with few adverse effects have been developed in response to the growing demand for skincare products that are natural and devoid of chemicals. The current study focuses on creating and testing a herbal peel-off mask with natural elements that have cleaning, revitalizing, and skin-protective qualities. Polyvinyl alcohol was used as the film-forming agent to include specific herbal ingredients, including Aloe vera, Azadirachta indica (neem), and Curcuma longa (turmeric), into a peel-off foundation. Numerous physicochemical parameters, such as pH, spreadability, viscosity, drying time, peelability, and stability, were assessed for the produced formulation.
The mask’s antibacterial effectiveness, skin compatibility, and consumer acceptability were also evaluated. According to the findings, the formulation had a pH that was appropriate for skin, a consistent consistency, easy peelability, and outstanding stability in a range of storage settings. Potential for use in commercial cosmetic applications is suggested by the herbal constituents’ contributions to deep cleansing, oil management, and skin-brightening effects. According to the study’s findings, a herbal peel-off mask can be a cost-effective, safe, and useful substitute for manufactured skincare products.
KEYWORDS : Azadirachta indica, Curcuma longa, skin-protective, herbal peel-off, skin brightening effects.
