PREVALENCE AND DISTRIBUTION OF GYNECOLOGICAL PROBLEMS AMONG ADOLESCENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS

Abstract :
1.Background: Adolescents and young adults between 12-24yrs of age may facing the various Gynecological Problems that including the menstrual disturbances, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome,Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, Vaginal discharge, primary amenorrhea, Ovarian cysts and reproductive tract infections. Due to their Hormonal changes, lifestyle facto, lack of awareness, social stigma, poor menstrual hygiene and delayed diagnosis and treatment. These factors may impact on physical, psychological, social, educational,
reproductive health. This can clarify details about Gynecological Problems ,to guide the clinical care and improve the preventive strategies.
2.Method: This study is designed as a cross-sectional, prospective, observational study conducted over a 3months of period in a clinical setting. The primary aim was to assess the prevalence and characteristics of the Gynecological Problems in adolescents and young adults
3.Results: Gynecological Problems Among Adolescents and young adults, highlighting not only clinical burden also behavioral and pharmacological aspects .that including menstrual disorders (35%)reflects the reproductive system, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (20%) increases in late adolescence , Vaginal infections /discharge(15%) , Pelvic Inflammatory Disease.Analysis of treatment that symptomatic management is primary approach .Other factors also be affected .
4.Conclusion:The Results of this study shows that patients with gynaecological problems among adolescents and Young Adults (12-24years of age ) .Gynecological Problems are more common in adolescents due to which patients may feel shame to consult a doctor to share the Problems.that symptoms get worsen. Due to lack of knowledge on these conditions. So Adolescents and Young Adults may provide therapy and advice through providing menstrual hygiene programs that improves the menstrual hygiene, preventive strategies, and reproductive health.
