Abstract :

Aim: To assess the level of awareness of people about viral hepatitis in the rural areas of Shakargarh Narowal Punjab Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted on the 200 patients presenting in the outpatient departments of the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Shakargarh Narowal Punjab during May 2019 and September 2019 using a self-structured questionnaire. The data was analyzed by SPSS version 21.Results: The level of awareness about viral hepatitis was high among people belonging to the rural areas of Shakargarh Narowal Punjab. Conclusion: Futue public health awareness programs can warrant to impart basic knowledge regarding pathophysiology as an initiative to empower people, especially those with a below average literacy rate.
