Abstract :
Over-the-counter (OTC) drugs play a critical role in the management of common health issues, offering accessible and cost-effective treatment options without the need for a prescription. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the current landscape of OTC drugs, including their categories, mechanisms of action, and evolving trends in their use. It examines the regulatory frameworks that govern OTC medications, the safety and efficacy concerns associated with their use, and the growing market dynamics influenced by consumer preferences and technological advancements. The review also explores emerging OTC drug formulations and the impact of digital health tools on OTC drug accessibility and usage.
