Abstract :

The advancement of spectroscopic techniques, particularly Infrared (IR), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), and UV-Visible spectroscopy, has significantly transformed pharmaceutical analysis. These methods offer powerful, non-destructive means to characterize and quantify pharmaceutical compounds with high precision. Infrared spectroscopy, especially with theadvent of Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR), has enhanced the ability to identify functional groups, detect polymorphs, and analyze raw materials and formulations. Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, through innovations such as high-resolution and multidimensional NMR techniques, provides detailed structural elucidation, ensuring the purity and stability of drugs while facilitating the development of new pharmaceutical entities. UV-Visible spectroscopy has evolved with miniaturized, portable devices and multivariate analysis techniques, enabling rapid, real-time quality control and quantification of active ingredients in drug formulations. Together, these spectroscopic advancement sarecrucialin improving the efficiency of pharmaceutical development, enhancing regulatory compliance, and ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of pharmaceutical products in both research and production environments.
Key Words: Pharmaceutical Analysis, Structural Elucidation, Drug Formulation, Infrared Spectroscopy, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance.
