Abstract :

The findings suggest that the presence of phytoconstituents such as flavonoids, glycosides, and alkaloids in both the methanolic and ethanolic extracts of Lantana camara may contribute to its anti-obesity activity. Additionally, based on previous reports of its anti-inflammatory properties and ethnobotanical significance, it was hypothesized that the plant might also exhibit anti-arthritic activity.
To validate this hypothesis, the plant’s potency was assessed using various experimental models, yielding significant and promising results. The study confirms that both the methanolic and ethanolic extracts of Lantana camara exhibit notable anti-obesity and anti-arthritic activities.
This research not only paves the way for the development of novel herbal formulations but also holds significant promise for advancing pharmacology and phytochemistry. The findings contribute to the potential development of effective herbal medicines, offering new therapeutic options for human health.
