Abstract :

Abstract:
Natural treatments for digestive health have emerged as a result of the increased interest in herbal compositions. Butterfly pea, or Clitoria ternatea, is a medicinal plant with anti-inflammatory, gastrointestinal, and antioxidant properties. In order to improve digestion, this study focuses on creating and assessing a herbal syrup that contains extract from Clitoria ternatea. A standardized extract of Clitoria ternatea was used to make the syrup, together with appropriate excipients such flavorings, sweeteners, and preservatives.
To guarantee effectiveness and shelf-life, a number of formulation factors were evaluated, such as pH, viscosity, and stability. The presence of flavonoids, alkaloids, and phenolic compounds which support digestive health by promoting enzymatic activity and lowering oxidative stress was confirmed by preliminary phytochemical screening. The formulation’s in vitro digestive enzyme activity, microbiological stability, and organoleptic qualities were further assessed. According to the findings, the herbal syrup is a safe, efficient treatment with few adverse effects that shows promise as a natural cure for enhancing digestion. Clinical assessments will be the main focus of future research to confirm its effectiveness in human subjects.
