Abstract :

Patient experience has emerged as a critical dimension of healthcare quality. In departments such as radiology, nursing, and physical therapy, patients often carry specific fears and anxieties which can impede care delivery, compliance, and outcomes. This paper explores the sources of patient fears in these three departments, reviews empirical evidence on the factors that influence experience, and proposes evidence-based strategies to mitigate concerns and enhance patient-centred care. Through an extensive review of the literature, the critical factors of effective communication, information transparency, optimised workflow, and robust interprofessional coordination are identified as central to improvement. The paper concludes with detailed recommendations for practice and suggestions for future research, underscoring that addressing patient fear is paramount to achieving clinical excellence.
