Abstract :

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are a major cause of illness and death around the world, making it essential to find better treatment options. Medicinal plants have become increasingly popular as possible supplements or alternatives to standard medicines because they contain active ingredients that can help protect the heart. This review looks at how different medicinal plants can help prevent and manage CVDs, explaining how they work in the body, such as by reducing inflammation, fighting free radicals, and lowering bad cholesterol. Specific plants like garlic, ginseng, Arjuna, and ginger are studied for their ability to improve heart health. The review also talks about how combining traditional knowledge with modern scientific research can lead to better treatments, stressing the importance of well-conducted clinical studies to confirm the effectiveness of these plants. In the end, this review shows how including medicinal plants in heart disease treatment can offer a more complete and natural way to take care of cardiovascular health.
Keywords: Cardiovascular diseases (CVD); Garlic; Ginger; Ginseng; Arjuna.
