HERBAL DRUG USE IN RESPIRATORY SYSTEM LIKE ASTHMA

Abstract :
Anatomically, the upper and lower respiratory tracts are separated by the throat into two sections. The respiratory tract, lungs, or blood vessels can all be affected by respiratory disorders, and many of these conditions typically exhibit a combination of these abnormalities. Obstructive lung disease, restrictive lung disease, pulmonary vascular disease, and other disorders are the broad categories into which respiratory diseases can be divided. The science of using plants to treat or prevent illnesses is known as herbal medicine. Due to the widespread usage of herbal treatments in society and the public, it is becoming more and more recognized as one of the primary modalities in both traditional and modern medicine. Given the high frequency and variability of respiratory tract infections (RTI), particularly lower respiratory .New treatments for these illnesses are becoming more and more necessary, especially as antimicrobial resistance increases. People who have experimented with herbal remedies since ancient times have also utilized them to treat infectious respiratory conditions. Due to their antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties, a variety of natural remedies derived from plants and herbal medicine may be utilized as an alternate therapeutic option for RTI. However, there are some questions regarding efficacy and safety. Chinese herbal remedies may aid in the treatment of COVID-19 and other viral respiratory disease symptoms. Natural solutions that directly target the processes involved in RTI, like plant extracts and their active components, may be appropriate therapeutic options with fewer side effects.
