Abstract:

This study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of immediate release tablets containing Orphenadrine Citrate and Paracetamol using the wet granulation technique. The objective was to develop tablets with acceptable physical characteristics and rapid drug release for effective therapeutic action. Various pharmaceutical excipients such as binders, disintegrants, diluents, and lubricants were used to optimize the formulation. The prepared granules were evaluated for pre-compression parameters including bulk density, tapped density, Hausner’s ratio, and angle of repose. The compressed tablets were assessed for hardness, friability, weight variation, disintegration time, and dissolution profile. The results demonstrated satisfactory quality parameters and effective drug release, indicating that the developed formulation is suitable for immediate therapeutic action.
